Millo’s Cities

Everywhere I go - Minsk – Bielorussia 2015

The graffiti "Everywhere I Go" was created in Minsk as part of the Urban Myths project in October 2015. In this mural, Millo highlights the problem of cities where people move between home and work, live in isolation, don’t know their neighbors' names, and don’t appreciate urban space.

Minsk is the capital of Belarus and the country’s political, economic, and cultural center. It has about 2 million inhabitants. Rebuilt after World War II, it is known for its Soviet architecture and is home to museums, theaters, and the state university.

Never Give Up – Santiago del Chile – Chile 2016

Simple black and white lines depict a monochromatic city. At the center, a girl hugs a heart-shaped tree, from which a colorful sprout grows—a symbol of hope. This work gently yet powerfully invites us to never give up.

Santiago de Chile is the capital and largest city of the country. Located at the foothills of the Andes, it is the political, economic, and cultural heart of Chile. Founded in 1541, it now hosts museums, universities, and lively markets. It is also an important center for art and modern architecture.

Love runs the world – Kiev – Ucraina 2016

The artwork is a message of peace in an area of the city where there are only blocks and blocks of concrete for kilometers. Someone might say it’s just a small flower in the concrete... "but many flowers make a small garden." — Millo

Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, is one of the oldest cities in Europe. Located on the Dnipro River, it is the political, cultural, and scientific center of the country. Known for its Orthodox churches, such as Saint Sophia Cathedral, it plays a key role in Ukrainian history and identity.

L’albero di Gelso – Al Jib – Palestina 2023

“Last summer, I painted a huge water tank in Al Jib, near Jerusalem, in the Palestinian territories. It is the first large mural outside the separation walls. It depicts a girl playing with mulberry leaves, a symbol of freedom and the denied spaces for the village’s girls.” — Millo

Al Jib is a historic village near Jerusalem, in the Palestinian territories. Located in a rural area, it is known for its hilly landscape and cultural significance. The village faces challenges related to occupation and Israeli settlements, with a strong sense of community and local identity.

Protection – in Luzhi - Suzhou, China  2016

For this piece, Millo painted on a primary school built in 2003 that now welcomes over 2,000 children aged 2 to 6. The children come from different regions of China because their parents moved from their hometowns in search of work. Internal migration is a common issue in China.

Luzhi is an ancient water town near Suzhou, China, famous for its historic canals, stone bridges, and well-preserved traditional architecture. Known as the “Venice of the East,” it is a popular tourist destination offering an authentic glimpse into traditional Chinese life and culture.

Enjoy the Silence – in Casablanca - Marocco  2015

Mural painted for Sbagha Bagha – Graffiti & Peintures Murales

This wall has been erased in 2018

Casablanca is the largest city in Morocco and the country’s main economic hub. It has over 3.5 million inhabitants. Facing the Atlantic Ocean, it is known for its modern architecture, bustling port, and vibrant cultural scene that blends tradition and contemporary life.

This Is Not a Dream– Tbilisi, Georgia 2018

I realized this wall for Fabrikaffiti Urban Art Festival 2018 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The main feeling of my staying has been how strong could be fighting to realize your dream.
Georgia is a unique country with a very ancient history and a more hard recent one, Tblisi the capital, where I ‘ve been, can be considered, for example, a mix of all these different pieces.
The whole nation seemed to me in bloom and the people is starting to dream bigger.

From each root it’s possible to grow up a beautiful tree.

Tbilisi is the capital of Georgia and one of the oldest cities in the Caucasus region. With around 1.2 million inhabitants, it lies on the banks of the Kura River and is known for its mix of medieval, neoclassical, and modern architecture, as well as its rich cultural diversity and dynamic creative scene.

भविष्य Future – Mumbai, India 2019

I realized this is the wall in Dharavi (Mumbai) for St+art India Foundation .

Dharavi is the biggest slum of Asia, more than one million people in 1.7km2.
The living conditions are truly hard and the goal of the project is to bring art into the slum to make it known and more attractive for the inhabitants.

Dharavi is a unique place, with its colors, lights and loud sounds, it’s where at least 5 different main religions lives together in armony, where the idea of “sharing” doesn’t need to be thought cause it’s reality, and where people smiles at you with all their soul.

Mumbai is the financial and entertainment capital of India, located on the country’s west coast. It has more than 20 million inhabitants. The city is famous for its colonial architecture, bustling markets, Bollywood film industry, and its striking contrasts between wealth and poverty.

The View From Here – Horsens, Denmark 2020

“I realized this mural in Horsens, Denmark for Kunstbureau Kolossal and it is also my first mural abroad after eight months because of covid-19.

What we all experienced and we are still experiencing undoubtedly had and will continue to have a strong impact on our inner and outer world, leading us to question ourselves about our presence in this world and our behavior.

While I was travelling to reach this new destination, and the world outside was running behind my train’s window, I felt the urgency to silently lean out and contemplate, as this could be a way to approach again our reality”.

Horsens is a city in eastern Jutland, Denmark, with around 60,000 inhabitants. Once an industrial center, it is now known for its cultural festivals, art scene, and historical architecture, including the former state prison, now converted into a museum and cultural venue.

When We Thought We Could Fly Pristina, Kosovo 2023

I realized this mural in Pristina Kosovo for Guerrilla Art Festival

One of the topic of my staying has been the Visa’s exemption as for the people in Kosovo is possible to travel in Europe only by requesting visas, procedures that can take up to months and requires money from those who apply.

From January 2024, citizens of Kosovo will be allowed to travel in EU without requesting visas and this is already considered one of the biggest change since the end of the war, as will give them the possibility to visit and discover different cultures at the same speed of the other countries.

In the national flower of the country, The Peony, that symbolizes the passion, the fights and blood of its inhabitants, my characters are finally free to fly and visit new places without any strings holding them.

Pristina is the capital of Kosovo and its political, cultural, and economic heart. It has about 200,000 inhabitants. As one of Europe’s youngest capitals, it is known for its youthful energy, growing art scene, and a mix of Ottoman, Yugoslav, and contemporary influences.
