The Museum of the Cities of the World is housed in a historic former convent which, unfortunately, still presents significant architectural barriers. We deeply regret the difficulties this may cause visitors with reduced mobility and those accompanying them.

From the very beginning, we have considered accessibility an absolute priority and are taking concrete steps to improve the situation. We have already ordered a stair-climbing device specifically designed for visitors with reduced mobility, which will be delivered and operational shortly.

At the same time, the Italian State Property Agency—the owner of the Convento dei Crociferi—is working with the building’s condominium association to assess the possibility of installing a permanent lift and removing these architectural barriers once and for all.

FARM is also prepared, within the limits of what is currently possible, to contribute directly to solutions that can make these spaces increasingly accessible and inclusive. We firmly believe that culture should be accessible to everyone, and we will continue to work responsibly and with determination to make the Museum a welcoming and inclusive space that can be enjoyed by as many people as possible.

Il Museo delle Città del Mondo ha sede in un antico convento storico che, purtroppo, presenta ancora importanti barriere architettoniche. Siamo profondamente dispiaciuti per le difficoltà che ciò può comportare per le persone con mobilità ridotta e per chi le accompagna.

Fin dall’inizio abbiamo considerato l’accessibilità una priorità assoluta e stiamo adottando misure concrete per migliorare la situazione. Abbiamo già ordinato un dispositivo montascale appositamente progettato per le persone con mobilità ridotta, che sarà consegnato e reso operativo a breve.

Parallelamente, l’Agenzia del Demanio — proprietaria del Convento dei Crociferi — sta valutando, insieme al condominio, la possibilità di installare un ascensore permanente e abbattere definitivamente le barriere architettoniche.

Anche FARM è pronta, nei limiti di quanto attualmente possibile, a contribuire direttamente alla realizzazione di soluzioni che possano rendere gli spazi sempre più accessibili e inclusivi. Crediamo fermamente che la cultura debba essere accessibile a tutte e tutti e continueremo a lavorare con responsabilità e determinazione affinché il Museo sia uno spazio accogliente, inclusivo e fruibile dal maggior numero possibile di persone.
