Online booking is recommended but not required, as tickets can also be purchased directly at the Museum entrance. Please be aware that some artworks contain intense images or address sensitive subjects. Photography for personal use is permitted.

In the heart of Palermo
The Quattro Canti are the baroque heart of Palermo. Built in the 17th century, they consist of four symmetrical, concave façades richly decorated with statues, fountains, and architectural elements representing the seasons, Spanish kings, and patron saints. This iconic space is often described as Palermo’s urban “theatre.”
I Quattro Canti sono il cuore barocco di Palermo. Costruiti nel Seicento, sono formati da quattro facciate concave e simmetriche, riccamente decorate con statue, fontane e ordini architettonici che rappresentano le stagioni, i sovrani spagnoli e le sante patronesse. Questo luogo simbolico è spesso definito il “teatro” urbano della città.
Accessibility
The Museum is housed in a historic former convent that still presents significant architectural barriers. We sincerely regret the difficulties this may cause visitors with reduced mobility and those accompanying them.
Accessibility is a priority for us. A stair-climbing device will be operational shortly, while a permanent lift is currently being assessed with the Italian State Property Agency and the building’s condominium association. If you have specific accessibility requirements, please contact us before your visit so that our team can provide information and assistance.
Il Museo ha sede in un antico convento storico che presenta ancora importanti barriere architettoniche. Siamo sinceramente dispiaciuti per le difficoltà che ciò può comportare per le persone con mobilità ridotta e per chi le accompagna.

Some areas of the Museum address war, displacement, violence and human rights violations through images and personal testimonies. These contents may be emotionally intense, particularly for younger visitors.
