Countless Cities Awards

Since 2010, we have been studying and telling the stories of cities and the people who make them alive, unique and unrepeatable. Because a city is not the sum of what we have already seen. It is what makes it different from all the others.

A city is special when it is alive. When people find stability — but also opportunity. When they can choose, create, and change. When a city allows you to become the best version of yourself. When people feel they truly belong to that place. In an increasingly uniform world, we look for cities that resist standardization and the people who make them possible.

Dal 2010, studiamo e raccontiamo le storie di città e di persone che le rendono vive, uniche, irripetibili. Perché una città non è la somma di ciò che abbiamo già visto. È ciò che la rende diversa da tutte le altre.

Una città è speciale quando è viva. Quando offre stabilità — ma anche possibilità. Quando le persone possono scegliere, creare, cambiare. Quando una città ti permette di diventare la versione migliore di te stesso. Quando le persone sentono di appartenere a quel luogo. In un mondo sempre più uniforme, cerchiamo storie città che resistono all’omologazione. E persone che le rendono possibili.

Countless Cities Awards is a global initiative promoted by FARM Foundation.

Each year, the Awards recognize individuals, organizations and cities that are generating real impact on the quality of urban life.

Among the people, the Awards honor a Citymaker of the Year, someone who has generated a real and transformative impact in their city, as well as an Urban Visionary, capable of imagining new models and possibilities for the future of cities. They also recognize outstanding Public Leadership for Change, celebrating public leaders who drive transformation with courage and responsibility, and the Give Back Award, dedicated to those who create opportunities for others and turn privilege into shared impact.

Among organizations, the Awards highlight the Best Cultural Space of the Year, a museum or cultural center that creates meaningful impact within its community, alongside the Education for Future Generations Award, recognizing initiatives that empower and inspire new generations.
They also honor a Social & Human Impact Organization, working to address inequalities and improve urban life, and a Public Institution Innovation Award, celebrating institutions that transform governance, policies and public services into tools for change.

Finally, the Awards recognize cities themselves.
The City of the Year for Change celebrates a city that stands out globally for transformation and innovation, while the Most Distinctive City Award honors cities with a strong and unique identity.
The Most Human City Award recognizes cities that place people, relationships and belonging at their core, and the Small City, Big Change Award highlights smaller cities that are generating extraordinary transformations and becoming global models.

I Countless Cities Awards 2026 riconoscono persone, organizzazioni e città che stanno contribuendo attivamente a costruire il futuro della vita urbana.

Tra le persone, il Premio celebra il Citymaker of the Year, ovvero chi ha generato un impatto concreto e trasformativo nella propria città, insieme all’Urban Visionary, capace di immaginare nuovi modelli e nuove possibilità per il futuro urbano. Viene inoltre riconosciuta la Public Leadership for Change, dedicata a leader pubblici che guidano il cambiamento con coraggio e responsabilità, e il Give Back Award, che premia chi crea opportunità per gli altri e restituisce valore alla comunità.

Tra le organizzazioni, il Premio valorizza il Best Cultural Space of the Year, un museo o centro culturale capace di generare un impatto reale sul territorio, insieme all’Education for Future Generations Award, dedicato a progetti educativi che formano cittadini consapevoli e attivi.

Who selects the Winners

Winners are selected by an international network of young ambassadors: Countless Youth for Cities.

A new generation that observes, listens and identifies those who are truly shaping the future of cities.

Ambassadors submit nominations, than an international jury selects the winners. Awards are presented during an international event.

I vincitori sono selezionati da una rete internazionale di giovani ambassador: Countless Youth for Cities.

Una nuova generazione che osserva, ascolta e individua chi sta davvero contribuendo al futuro delle città.

Gli Ambassador propongono le candidature, poi una giuria internazionale seleziona i vincitori. I premi vengono assegnati durante un evento internazionale.
